Dr. Boatswain is a licensed psychologist and certified group psychotherapist. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University, a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the College at New Paltz, and earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany. She completed her clinical training at the American Psychological Association accredited Pederson-Krag Center, Huntington, New York. She has worked as a psychotherapist at New Hope Guild Center in Brooklyn, New York, Interfaith Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, and as an assistant professor at Long Island University. Most recently she worked as a staff psychologist at Manhattanville College for nearly 10 years. She has over 20 years of experience as a trusted counselor and professional. r. Boatswain is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Group Psychotherapy Association, National Registry of Certified Group Psychotherapists, and Registrant with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
