Annie Weiss has been leading psychodynamic/interpersonal process groups for over 20 year. Focusing on attachment and connection, Annie also incorporates aspects of Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS), AEDP and other models to enliven and deepen the group process in the here-and-now.
Annie received her BA from Yale University and her MSW from Smith College School for Social Work. She was faculty of Boston Institute for Psychotherapy for 10 years, including 5 co-leading an observed training group with Scott Rutan. She is on the training faculty of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy, and currently leads the experiential training group for therapists. Annie is also the group consultant at the Brookline Community Mental Health Center. She has taught courses in group therapy to Boston College graduate students in counseling, professionals through NSGP, and has presented locally and nationally on topics including handling challenging group situations, boundary transgressions, and integrating IFS into group therapy.
